The shining waters of Kauaʻi
Bring a peace that once was never known to me.
The swirling waters of Kauaʻi
Wash my hurt and all my heartache out to sea.
Behold an island ever kissed by early morning dew,
And sunshine carried on the winds that ever call to you.
The soothing breezes of Kauaʻi
Bring the family I have known so long ago.
And the sands of my Kauaʻi,
Unlike time, will never waste away, I know.
I've found a heaven, paradise on a mountain in the sea,
And laughter sung with life in gentle harmony.
Kauaʻi, on your shores I've learned of truths that last forever;
Kauaʻi, and lessons of thy beauty once unknown.
Ka nani crowns thy mountains full of flowers graced by rainbows.
There my heart will ever run, to be warmed beneath the sun,
And to feel the healing waters of Kauaʻi.
The lovely island of Kauaʻi
Is a place my heart will always yearn to go.
Into the arms of my Kauaʻi
I shall ever run
because I love her so.
Behold this island, ever changing but always still the same.
Once you touch her, you will find yourself calling her name.
Kauaʻi, on your shores I've learned of truths that last forever;
Kauaʻi, and lessons of thy beauty once unknown.
Na Lani gave thee life from the bosom of forever.
There my heart will ever run, to warmed beneath the sun,
And to feel the healing waters of Kauaʻi.
